The basics

What was announced?

$HSUITE is becoming a canonical token on the XRP Ledger (XRPL). That means XRPL will be the single home where HSUITE is issued, held, traded, and settled. Hedera remains a fully supported network for HSuite builders and applications.

What does "canonical" mean?

Instead of issuing a separate $HSUITE on every chain HSuite supports, there will be one authoritative HSUITE on XRPL. Other chains stay part of the network and connect back to it.

Why is this happening?
  • Powered by the only blockchain featuring a native built-in DEX, XRPL allows payments from any supported chain to settle directly into real $HSUITE.
  • One token instead of many keeps supply, liquidity, and trust in one place.
  • XRPL typically settles quickly and at low cost.

If you hold $HSUITE

Do I need to do anything right now?

No. Your tokens are safe, your balance has not changed, and migration is not open yet.

Is my $HSUITE on Hedera still safe?

Yes. Nothing about this announcement changes your Hedera balance.

Do I have to migrate?

It's your choice and your timing. We recommend it, because the XRPL market, future settlement, and planned token functions (such as burn mechanics) will live on XRPL. Hedera $HSUITE won't have access to those.

Is there a deadline?

There is a six-month migration window, but your claim never expires. After the window closes, you will always be able to claim your XRPL $HSUITE at any time by proving ownership of your Hedera wallet.

What happens to tokens I don't migrate?

They are never burned or confiscated. After the window closes, the Hedera token is frozen (untransferable but still on-chain), and you can claim 1:1 on XRPL whenever you choose.

Will my tokens be frozen during the window?

No. Nothing is frozen or paused during the six-month window, and your tokens stay fully transferable on Hedera.

The numbers

What is the exchange rate?

Always 1:1. One $HSUITE on Hedera becomes exactly one $HSUITE on XRPL, with no fees from HSuite, no penalties, and no conditions.

Will the total supply change?

No. It stays at 38.272B. Every $HSUITE issued on XRPL is matched by one $HSUITE sent to a burn wallet on Hedera.

Is any $HSUITE pre-minted on XRPL?

No. Circulating supply on XRPL starts at zero and grows only as holders migrate.

Security and control

Who controls the XRPL token?

No one. The issuer key is generated jointly by independent HSuite nodes through Distributed Key Generation (DKG). Each node holds only a small piece, and the full key never exists in one place, not even with the HSuite team.

Who approves a mint?

A threshold of nodes must sign together, using Threshold Signature Scheme (TSS). No individual, company, or compromised machine can mint, freeze, or move $HSUITE alone.

Who governs the issuer long-term?

Governance is designed to pass to Project X Suite - Wyoming DUNA (the HSuite DAO), so the rules and any changes to them are answerable to the community.

How migration will work

How will I migrate?
  1. Open the HSuite Wallet and choose "Port your token."
  2. Your $HSUITE is sent from Hedera to a designated burn wallet.
  3. Smart Engines v3 nodes verify the transfer and jointly sign the mint.
  4. The same amount of $HSUITE arrives at your XRPL address.
I don't have an XRPL account. Is that a problem?

No. The wallet creates one for you.

What if I have any technical issues?

The HSuite team can help after verifying wallet ownership.

When does migration open?

Mainnet migration is targeted for Q1 2027. It opens only after the v3 security audit, the Smart Engines v3 testnet, and published migration instructions, with at least one month of public notice before it begins.

Stay safe

How do I avoid scams?
  • HSuite shares migration details only through official channels.
  • We will never ask for your seed phrase or private keys.
  • We will never ask you to send $HSUITE to an address that isn't in our official migration instructions. These will include the burn wallet and XRPL issuer addresses so anyone can verify them.
  • Be cautious of anyone who contacts you directly claiming to be HSuite.
  • Members of the HSuite Team will never send links or migration instructions through Discord direct messages or chat channels.

Builders and partners

I'm a builder on Hedera. Is anything changing for me?

No disruption. Keep building on Hedera, and existing smart apps keep running. Smart Engines v3 supports Hedera and XRPL at launch, with more chains to follow. You pay in your chain's native or accepted asset (HBAR, XRP, BTC, ETH, SOL, USDC, and others), and settlement into $HSUITE happens behind the scenes.

What about partner projects like Silk Suite?

Nothing changes in how they operate today. Silk Suite continues to run on HSuite's community nodes on Hedera, paying in HBAR. The only difference is that value bridges through the canonical HSUITE token on XRPL as part of settlement.
